Thailand’s national tree, and the strongest ornamental in our range for hot, dry climates. In flower it carries long pendulous racemes of clear yellow across a bare or lightly leafed crown, which is why it is used where a scheme needs one moment of colour rather than continuous cover.

Landscape use

Boulevard and entrance planting, park groupings, courtyard and villa gardens. Best used in groups or repeated along an avenue, where the simultaneous flowering reads as a single event.

The flower fall is part of the effect — a carpet of yellow beneath the tree. It shows to best advantage set back a little from pools, seating and parking, over planting or lawn.
