Large scarlet-orange bell flowers held in upright clusters at the ends of the branches, opening in succession over a long season. Among the boldest flowering trees available, and visible from a considerable distance.

Landscape use

Parks, boulevards, resort grounds and feature planting where strong colour is wanted over a long period. Fast growth means it delivers presence sooner than most flowering trees of comparable size.

It performs best in open ground with room for the crown and root run, over lawn or planting where the large flowers fall naturally into the setting.
