Azadirachta indica

Azadirachta indica, better known as neem, is a well-known tropical tree in the mahogany family. Native to the Indian subcontinent and parts of Southeast Asia, it is now widely grown across tropical and subtropical regions. Neem is a fast-growing tree that usually reaches 15–20 meters, with a broad crown, pinnate leaves, fragrant white flowers, and olive-like fruits. Its seeds are the source of neem oil, a product widely used in soaps, cosmetics, and agricultural pest control. The tree is especially valued for its drought tolerance and long history in traditional medicine. Because of its resilience and usefulness, neem is often planted for shade, reforestation, and sustainable landscape management.
