Singapore frangipani, white frangipani · Apocynaceae · Evergreen small tree
The evergreen frangipani. Glossy, rounded dark leaves held year-round beneath clusters of pure white flowers with a yellow throat, heavily scented in the evening. Where Plumeria rubra stands bare through the dry season, this one keeps its foliage — which makes it the easier of the two to place in a scheme that must look complete all year.

Landscape use
Courtyards, pool surrounds, entrances, temple and hotel grounds, and raised planters. Its slow growth and modest scale make it dependable close to buildings and hard landscape, where a larger tree would outgrow the space.
The white and yellow flowers read cleanly against the dark evergreen foliage, and the evening scent makes it particularly effective near terraces and walkways used after dark. As with others in its family the sap is a milky latex, so gloves are usual when pruning.
